William J. Mayo articulated our mission best when he said, “the best interest of the patient is the only interest to be considered.” His 1910 position far predates our 1987 start in Flagstaff, Arizona; but we believe it is a timeless foundation on which to stand. From our first day in practice, to our last, whenever that may be, we hope that our patients will speak of our integrity and dedication to their care. We strive to make our community better by helping build confidence in our patient’s smiles. To some a smile may be a small, insignificant achievement. To us, there is great depth and potential. A smile speaks volumes and transcends language barriers. It communicates joy and can be contagious, spreading one person’s happiness to others. A smile can embolden those around you when they might otherwise have been silent. We are biased, but to even be a small part in that endeavor is significant.
